Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Kitchen Prep Cook to join our team at Nameless Catering. As a vital part of our kitchen operations, you will assist in the preparation of high-quality dishes for events ranging from intimate gatherings to large-scale receptions. This is a third shift (overnight) position.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, cutting, and portioning ingredients.
- Assist in cooking and preparing various food items according to recipes and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment by sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash, and ensuring all equipment is in working order.
- Stock and maintain designated food stations with necessary supplies.
- Comply with all food safety and sanitation guidelines and regulations.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
- Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure efficient and timely production of dishes.
- Uphold the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
- Follow proper knife safety procedures and handle knives and kitchen tools with care.
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned by the chef or kitchen supervisor.
Requirements:
- 3 years minimum experience as a prep cook, line cook, or similar role in a professional kitchen environment.
- Reliable Transportation.
- Servsafe Certification.
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and utensils.
- Understanding of food safety practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Maintain Clear communication with managers.
- Flexible schedule. This is an overnight position.
